About Me

How to introduce myself? It’s always a tough question for me, because what do you tell people about yourself. I mean, I could go ranting on and on about my favourite movies and tv shows and drinks and books and music, but that’s not what you’re here for, are you? Okay, maybe only the book part. I’ll try and introduce myself and also keep it interesting.

For as long as I can remember I’ve been wanting to become a writer. When I was a kid, I once wrote a children’s book while in the back of the car on our way to France. It was amazing. It was a classic story of a knight, trying to save the princess from a dragon (very Saint George). It wasn’t the story that amazed, let’s be real, it’s nothing new. However, it were the drawings I made alongside of the story. My mum was my very first fan.

After that I kind of got the hang of it, and wrote several short stories about things that could and couldn’t happen. Then a few years ago, I started writing a novel. But, as we probably all know, I haven’t published anything yet. Main reason for that: writing a novel is hard. I started over about six times already and I’m not happy with everything that I wrote. I just can’t decide on the plot. But who knows, maybe one day. It’s still on my bucketlist.

Now that I have graduated, I have managed to get myself a real life adult job at a Dutch publisher specialised in New Adult, feelgood and romance books. Our top selling authors are Jennifer Armentrout, Rebecca Yarros and Colleen Hoover. I’ve been in charge of all the marketing activities for these books since I started this job in October 2019 and I have been loving every minute of it. I get to talk about books, convince people to buy our books and read books all day and I’m even getting paid for it as well. So far, it’s like living the dream haha!
